The acquisition aligns with the strategic objectives of both Bitshield and Bitdefender and represents an exciting opportunity for Bitdefender Partners, and Bitdefender customers alike. This acquisition allows Bitdefender to enhance its presence and portfolio of solutions in Malaysia and strengthen its commitment as a trusted cybersecurity partner for the Malaysia market.

  1. Does Bitshield remain as a company to handle Bitdefender Distribution business in Malaysia?

Bitshield will continue to offer its full range of other cybersecurity products and solutions, except for Bitdefender. Bitshield as a company has not been acquired; Bitdefender has acquired the Bitdefender business segment of Bitshield, and the team dedicated to the Bitdefender business at Bitshield is joining Bitdefender’s Malaysian subsidiary and will continue to pursue business and support directly as part of Bitdefender. Moving forward, the Bitshield company will not engage in any Bitdefender-related business.

  1. Does this acquisition change our business status for Bitdefender?

No, your status as a valued partner remains unchanged. You will continue to enjoy the same relationship and support as before. The only change is the relocation of the distributor. More information on Order placement after Jan 1st 2025 will follow soon

  1. What happens to the Bitdefender price structure in Malaysia after the acquisition?

The Bitdefender price structure in Malaysia will remain as before. Any contracts on prices will remain intact as well. Unless there is a valid reason for price adjustments in terms of the local market, the existing price range will remain until the end of its usual validity period.

  1. What happens to our business contacts for Bitdefender business at Bitshield?

They all remain the same. All the team members are joining Bitdefender and will continue to support and assist you as usual. Telephone numbers remain the same. Only the email ID for your contacts will change, which will be updated in due course.

  1. What happens to our tech support contacts for Bitdefender with Bitshield?

Your support contacts all will remain the same. The technical team members are joining Bitdefender and will continue to support and assist you as usual. Telephone numbers remain the same. Only the email ID for your support contacts will change, which will be updated in due course.

  1. What happens to our long-term contracts (business or technical) for Bitdefender with Bitshield?

All contracts remain valid and will be assigned to and fulfilled by Bitdefender or a new distributor as applicable. There will be no changes for you.
